How It All Started
From pain to purpose
“During one of the most difficult chapters of my life—when everything I knew felt like it had been turned upside down—I turned to writing. Not for anyone else, but for myself. I began scribbling down messages for strength, hope, and self-worth, leaving them around my home as quiet lifelines to get me through. Each note was a reminder for myself and they became anchors for my mind—helping me stay grounded, build resilience, and keep going when things felt impossibly heavy.
And then something beautiful happened…
In the midst of navigating through all of the chaos unfolding in my life, I realised just how powerful those small notes had become for me. They weren’t just words—they were moments of light. Tiny little beacons of hope that kept me afloat.
That’s when the idea was born —- what if I could give that same feeling to someone else?
What if a stranger, in the middle of their storm, found a message that reminded them to hold on, and be that same ‘beacon of hope’, for them?
I went to my local shop and bought 100 fresh roses and carefully tied a handwritten note to each stem. These were the same exact notes that had helped me through my storms—the ones that reminded me to hold on, to hope. I wandered through streets and parks of my hometown, leaving the notes and roses behind on benches, bus stops, and doorsteps—as tiny offerings to strangers I’d never met, to pass on the comfort I once needed so badly. And by the end of that day, one thing was crystal clear: the world doesn’t just 'need' more kindness—it’s desperate for it. In that moment, Dear Stranger was born. From a deeply personal place—my pain was shaped into purpose. What began as a simple act of healing has grown into something powerful. Our kindness cards are now small beacons of hope, soft reminders that even in your darkest moments, you are not alone. There is still light. There is still hope. And there is still so much love in this world—even from hearts you haven’t met yet. This is more than a mission. It’s a movement—to make kindness to strangers a way of life. Through our Kindness Crew programme, people from all walks of life are stepping into their communities to share love, lift spirits, and remind the world that humanity still exists. Sometimes, all it takes is one kind soul to change someone’s day - and that soul is you.

Our Mission -
To make the world a better place, one kind message at a time
Let’s face it—life is hard sometimes. Some days weigh more than others. Some seasons feel like storms. And behind every smile, every silence, every passing stranger—there’s a story you can’t see. Everyone—every single person you pass —is going through something, whether that be pain, loss, fear, heartbreak, loneliness, pressure, or maybe they are just trying their best to get through the day.
That’s why we believe in being kinder than necessary because sometimes, a kind message to a stranger can be more than just words – it can be a lifeline.
We exist to remind people that goodness is still out there—and that they’re never as alone as they feel. Every message we share through our kindness crew program, is a love letter to humanity. A little light in someone’s day. A seed of hope planted where it’s needed most. And if it makes just one person feel less alone, more seen, or more loved?…. Then it’s already working.
With every act of kindness we share, we’re on a mission to:

Help people choose life
A single message of kindness can do more than just brighten someone’s day—it can quietly, gently, help save a life. It can be the whisper that says, “Please stay another day.” And in a world that can feel unbearably heavy at times, that might be exactly what someone needs to hear.

Battle loneliness
Even in a world full of connection, so many people feel unseen. A kind message can be a reminder that they matter—that someone out there took a moment to care and that they are not alone in the world.

Spark inner strength
Sometimes, all we need is a gentle push to keep going. A few inspiring words can awaken courage, resilience, and the will to carry on. It can encourage people to believe in themselves, and to take a leap of faith towards something they truly want.

Inspire a ripple effect
Kindness is contagious, it doesn’t stop with one person. It spreads. It multiplies. And before you know it, one act of kindness has inspired another across the globe - which is exactly what this world needs.

Reaffirm Our Shared Humanity
We may look different, speak differently, live differently—but deep down, we all feel the same hardships daily. Kindness reminds us we’re not just strangers. We’re human. Together.

Be a beacon of hope
Hope is powerful. It’s what keeps people going when everything feels like it’s falling apart. A single message can remind someone: there’s still light ahead and drastically change their mindset to conquer their inner thoughts
